Enterprise AI is quickly shifting from tools that generate answers and provide assistance to autonomous systems that can carry out multi-step tasks across teams and applications. We are entering the agentic enterprise era.
However, the journey to agentic can be a challenging transformation if your enterprise data is not yet unified and AI-ready. Standalone integrations can be like digital duct tape, allowing data to move between systems but without a resilient foundation.
It’s now easier to navigate this journey thanks to co-innovations from Salesforce and Google Cloud. Together they deliver the infrastructure, data, and AI capabilities that enterprises need to move from AI-assisted to AI-empowered work.
The foundation is set: Robust capabilities and toolsets launched
Salesforce and Google Cloud have worked together for years, ensuring customers can gain faster data access, deploy capable AI agents, and weave AI capabilities into the tools that the workforce uses every day. These co-innovations have resulted in:
- Smarter agents, broader capabilities: Gemini Enterprise models work inside the Agentforce platform to power multi-step agent workflows, including support for long-context reasoning across text, images, and voice.
- Live data, better decisions: Zero-copy integrations across Data 360, BigQuery, and Google Lakehouse eliminate the costly, risk-prone process of moving data between systems and ensure data is bidirectional. Agents read data in place, which means decisions are based on real-time information rather than an overnight sync.
- AI where work already happens: Deeper integrations across Google Workspace, Slack, and Gemini Enterprise put AI directly into daily workflows. Teams can summarize Google Meet transcripts alongside Slack threads and turn Slack and Google Workspace inputs — including Slides, Docs, Sheets, and PDFs — into ready-to-share content.
- Extend audiences to trusted partners: Data 360 integrations with Google Ads and Google Ad Manager enable privacy-safe audience activation and real-time campaign personalization.
Mass-market retail giant Pepkor is already reaping the benefits of these co-innovations.
“By unifying 64 million customer profiles into 24 million profiles with Salesforce Data 360 and Google BigQuery, our loyalty program now gives us a deeper understanding of customer behavior across all 15+ brands,” said Michael Yolland, head of AI at Pepkor. “This has enabled us to reach 25% more of our customer base with truly personalized engagement, and we can do it all without ever moving or copying our data.”
Next-level scalability and extensibility
Google Cloud and Salesforce are launching solutions and tools that accelerate the agentic journey for enterprises. CIOs can help their organizations scale with confidence with capabilities including:
- Deploy anywhere, comply everywhere: Hyperforce on Google Cloud (launching in late 2026) will give enterprises more control over where their Salesforce data lives and runs. Teams will be able to deploy in specific regions to meet local data residency requirements, and three-zone redundancy will provide automatic failover and near-zero downtime.
- Unlock dark data: Zero-copy file federation builds on the data sharing capabilities of Hyperforce and Google Cloud. AI agents will be able to directly read unstructured files like PDFs, images, and logs stored in Google Cloud Storage, without the cost and security risk of copying or moving them.
- One budget, one governance model: Salesforce availability through Google Cloud Marketplace (coming in late 2026) will address something CIOs and CFOs have wanted for years: consolidated procurement. Enterprises will be able to apply existing Google Cloud committed spend toward Salesforce licenses and manage governance from a single control plane. This reframes Salesforce from a line-item SaaS cost to a strategic infrastructure investment.
- Acting with shared data context: Expanded BigQuery and Data 360 federation will add semantic alignment, making it easier for agents to interpret and act on data across both platforms.
- AI in the contact center: A tighter integration between Agentforce Service and Gemini Enterprise for CX will bring AI-assisted rep coaching and conversational AI directly into contact center operations.
An AI-empowered workforce
The Google Cloud-Salesforce partnership helps organizations move from AI assistants to a more connected workforce, where digital labor can take on complex work, operate across systems, and deliver stronger results across the business. It’s the agentic enterprise in action.
